Merchant accounts are one of the most important decisions for any business owner, however it’s even more important to select the right one if you are an eCommerce business. I’ve worked with several merchant companies over the years and I have to say my favorite is eMerchant and recently I had the pleasure of writing an article for their monthly newsletter on getting ready for year-end.
I’m sure you are wondering what makes eMerchant a favorite company of mine?
Quite honestly it’s a combination of their great rates & services, they integrate with all shopping carts, platforms & gateways, and above all – their personalized service (which is so rare these days!). As an eCommerce business things can change quickly, and this can cause problems. Over the years I’ve had clients who experienced a significant spike in business; whether it’s because they were featured on a TV show, in a magazine, or added a new line that proved to be extremely successful. That sounds great, right? The problem is how your merchant account provider may react! It’s not uncommon for a significant rise in charges to lead to your account being reviewed or even frozen – which can be disastrous, to say the least. eMerchant is your personal representative, just pick up the phone and tell them what’s going on (either before it happens, or when you are in the middle of your increased sales) and they will take care of you. One of the best things in business these days is to have a trusted ‘partner’ that has your back; and I feel that is what you get with them.
